Хотя я не любительница этого жанра, мне понравились два фильма в этой категории, оба довольно развлекательных.
Italian Job чисто приключенческий, об остроумных ворах крадущих большое количество золота. Но привлекает то что они придумывают остроумные трюки помогающие осуществить операцию.
The Usual Suspects о расследовании гангстерского преступления. Фильм сделан двумя молоденькими мальчиками и развязка очень необычная.

Thank you, Nina, for The Usual Suspects. It is one of my favorites - mostly because of Kevin Spacey. His voice, tone, face expressions, moves - everything - are adorable. And the witty dénouement adds the last bright drop to this great movie.
The Italin Job with Mark Wahlberg and Ed Norton I saw in a theater and now remember because of a truck failed under ground. I would put this movie to class of hi-fi magic, like Die Hard 4, or Mission Impossible1,2,3,... By the way it is interesting how traffic jam was created in the original movie of 1969?
The ususal suspects is definitely a cult movie. I saw it ~five times. My favorite is Mister Kobayashi - "Kill away, Mr McManus..." - a Japanese with the Hungarian accent
The Usual Suspects of Bryan Singer это шедевр кинематографа, редкий случай, когда счастливо соединяются талантливые люди и делают стоящую вещь. На актёрах написано, что они наслаждаются каждой минутой работы, это бывает нечасто.
Мой любимый герой фильма, конечно, Кайзер Сюзэ. К "шампанскому и Женитьбе Фигаро" можно присоединить этот фильм.
Рецензии на Usual suspects в блоге показались мне очень увлекательными, и я ждал этот фильм с большим интересом... хотя мог бы уже догаться, что культовые фильмы не для меня сделаны. Ни Brazilia, ни Pulp Fiction, ни - стыдно, но раз уж пошел разговор начистоту - Matrix.
Но что мне решительно не по душе в Usual Suspects, это то, что я не понимаю степени отрешенности от реальности, с которой надо смотреть этот фильм. Я не должен воспринимать реки крови реально? Я не должен думать, любит ли герой свою подругу или нет? Я согласен с Ниной, развязка очень необычная, но неужели, если теперь пересмотреть фильм, то окажется, что она не противоречит ему? Что она не вброшена в сюжет по прихоти авторов? И, что грустнее всего для меня, даже для этой цели - вдруг действительно детектив закручен так хитро, что и такое решение возможно - пересматривать этот фильм мне не хочется.
Другими словами, если даже вдруг задача "Маша убила Пашу, а Петя убил Клаву. Кто убил Васю?" имеет решение, я бы предпочел ее, прежде чем решать, переформулировать... Мне даже игра "Мафия" навсегда разонравилась после того как я услышал громкий совет: "Маму убей, маму". Где уж мне восхищаться Кайзером Сосо...
I am not sure why do we need to feel sorry for the dead in the "usual suspects" any more than for the dead in the "war of the worlds", for example. This film is not based on a true story and its only raison d'etre, if you excuse my French, is to be fun and cool. The number of timeless quotes in this motion picture is endless. This is another great dialogue:

Я не зря упомянула Кайзера.
Он в этом фильме представляет собой таинственную стихию, он парализует и притягивает к себе, как Бин Ладен. Я, к примеру, всё время тревожусь, где он, что замышляет. Сидит себе в пещере перед переносным компьютором и не ведает, что я пишу о нём. Сказка, авантюра и психоанализ в этом фильме. Чтобы такое релистическое "правдивое" противопоставить? Лезет в голову разная готика. И реализм иной раз далеко нас уводит от реальности. Примеры с утра не идут в голову.
As most of the time, in total agreement with my brother. I liked the film, the actors are between good an very good, the ending is not what you could expect, especially in Indianapolis, but so what? What exactly am i missing? BTW, I think there is a big difference between Ben Laden and Kizer ( sorry for my undeveloped Hungarian spelling) - the first one actually kills real people. I mean it's a good movie, but not more than this - to watch it 5 times????? i feel completely lost...The actors play great... Great dialogs, especially in Hungarian, I can add a couple to KB's list... Well,whatever....

Культовай фильм как сказка. Сколько раз ребёнок может слушать сказку. Он рад,что слова стоят на месте, боится Бабы Яги и радуется хорошему или неожиданному концу. Своёй внучке я не рассказываю про Бабу Ягу. Может я не права?
На сленговом молодёжном иврите есть обращение Мой брат, оно странно трансформировалось в Его брат, теперь я поняла, откуда всё это.
Натан, это запрещенный приём ---but so what. Так можно сказать про всё.

I saw that film first in 1995 when it just came out, mostly because of the Oscars and the noise around it. I have to confess, I did not understand much.I expected a traditional thriller, where the riddle is solved at the end. Now, after reading all these comments, I decided to see it again. I saw it very differently now, I realized that the scene with the wall at the end had passed by me unnoticed before. This time I enjoyed it tremendously. I think this film must be seen at least twice, because the second time you can see certain things, knowing the end. Like Verbal is this simple minded half-wit, and all of a sudden for a moment you see this coldness and power in his eyes. Or, you notice how he is looking at the bottom of the agent's mug. At the end you don't really know what happened, what is true and what is made up. The real things are the line up and the fire on the ship with 27 people dead. Everything in between is open for interpretation and is not really importatn. I think that the moral issues of "killing people" or "streams of blood" are completely irrelevant here. It really was like champagne or Marriage of Figaro. Thanks to all. By the way, does everyone know that the title comes from Casablanca?
When I saw Casablanca, I thought they took the quote from the "Usual suspects" :). And yes, the scene with the wall is sort of important. Really, one feels uneasy the entire movie about Mr. Kobayashi and his Hungarian accent. I kept asking myself when I saw it first time, is Kobayashi a Hungarian name? I managed to convince myself it was. Then I saw the mug and it all became crystal clear.
