Edward Hopper

Я очень рекоммендую выставку в MFA: Edward Hopper. Мне не все одинаково понравилось, например маяки и дома показались уж слишком олицетворением Новой Англии. Хотя в них тоже есть ощущение одиночества и разобщенности, которое так типично для всего его творчества. Если пойдете на выставку - не пропустите короткий фильм в маленькой комнате сбоку в предпоследнем зале.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3

This is a fun film to watch, if you are into pirates. If not, it is still, in my humble opinion, an excellent example of a mass culture product heavily informed by the art-house film-making with numerous references for those who care. The colors and composition are amazing. In a way this is like a perfect powerpont presentation, which is the art form I've been myself trying to perfect with a limited success for many years.
You must see this on a big screen. We saw it in a DLP version, and the picture quality is fantastic.
