Im Westen nichts Neues (2022) - Netflix

I got to admit I had low expectations of this film. But somehow the film sticks even a couple of months later. For the most part, it follows the book but the ending was modified, and it is the (new) ending, the last 20 minutes or so, that I find most memorable. There is an episode set to the soundtrack of "Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ" and while you know you're being manipulated, you also realize how efficient the manipulation is. I can recommend.
